Q. how do I get a tax deduction for my donation?

A. Our fiscal sponsor, Empowers Africa, will send you the paperwork for all donations over $100.

Q. Why isn’t the full teaser on the site?

A. Because of rights issues with some of the footage we are going to be using for the final film, we can’t post the full teaser here. But if you send us a note, we can send you a link to take a look at it.

Q. How can I get involved in the film?

A. We are in need of all sorts of help with this, including fundraising, marketing, post production. If you have skills you think might be of use to us, get in touch!

Q. Can I go to Rubondo Island now, without joining the crew of the film?

A. Yes. There’s a small lodge there run by Asilia Africa. Maybe we’ll see you there.

Q. What happened to the rhinos that were brought to rubondo in the 1960s?

A. Unfortunately all of them were poached by the 1980s. Before they were poached, they had a few babies — so it turns out the island was actually an appropriate spot for them. Unfortunately they weren’t being protected properly.

Q. WHen will I be able to see the film?

A. We are hoping to have it all wrapped by the middle of 2024 and debut it at the Berlinale in 2025. So sometime after that! Give us your email and we’ll keep you up to date on our progress.
